What do you need? Digital Camera, Tripod(optional), Flash diffuser(optional)and a person who can take a photo for you.
Where to take a photo? Home, Office, School classroom. Must have a good light. Daytime with enough light is ok. Open all your blinds at home, find the wall near your window.
Usually, the light condition is very good in a conference room or classroom where you may find the perfect white background, a Projector Screen.
What if Can't get enough light? Flash is an option. But be careful, don't create shadows in the background or cross face.
Tips: It's easier if you have a external flash(Bounce Mode) or flash diffuser (don't have one, use milk bottle, BBQ bag....). Don't have external flash, Try taking more photos and find a good one (I'm sure you can find one).
Tips: Leave enough space between you and the background, this will prevent the shadow in the background when using flash.
Background? White wall, white Door, white cloth or Projector Screen (in School Class Room, Company Conference Room), etc.
Distance between camera? Don't make yourself too big in the photo. Since most digital cameras have very good resolution, you can take a good picture anyway. Longer distance may help prevent the shadows if using flash. You'd better try different distances. You may pick a good photo.
